When he wanted to learn to sell on eBay and invest in real estate and then sell those houses on eBay, I said, “Uh…okay.” I soon found myself going with him on all kinds of educational adventures and suddenly, life BECAME school. He was jazzed, I was encouraged and life at our house was never the same again. As a result, he brought his dad home from corporate America. Sound like fun? In 2001, I invited the members of my Yahoo! Group over to my farm to learn what we were learning about entrepreneurial education. 100 folks came from 18 states and four flew. Meet Our Protégé of the Year 2007 Karen Brunet is a partner in ESSdreamteam.com, a web design and online marketing consulting firm in the Chattanooga, TN area. She’s also my personal webmaster since 2006, and one of my best kept secrets. At our Entrepreneur Days Award Ceremony in Atlanta in 2007, she won a HP Tablet laptop computer and the title of “Protégé of the Year.” The year before that she was awarded 2006 Outstanding Protégé as runner-up. |

Karen developed her very successful web design business and coaching programs while homeschooling her daughter, moving state-to-state twice, and being homeless for months after Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita wrecked chaos on the Louisiana coast. She’s attended Rhea’s Entrepreneur Days since 2004 and was one of my very first proteges to join Rhea’s Proteges program. Today, she has several clients all over the nation, trains other webmasters in advanced web design and Internet marketing, and is expanding her consulting and coaching business. Her husband and daughter work with her in the business – all from their home.
